Hawaii has proven to be the "place to be" for world-class surfing for many years. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it offers some of the best conditions on the planet, and the “aloha spirit” will make these paradise islands an unforgettable destination.
On a three week trip Paradise Waves takes you away to the “must-see” places for all surfers: Maui, Kauai and, last but certain not least: the famous island of Oahu. Each island has its own distinct personality, and offers its own adventures, activities, and sightseeing opportunities. The surf trip is for beginners, and advanced surfers alike.
The Surf Trip
The surf camp takes place on the three previous mentioned islands. During these camps, there are many tours, and activities organized to give you an unforgettable Hawaii experience.
Accommodation in the Maui Banana Bungalow Hostel
In Maui we will stay at the Banana Bungalow hostel in Wailuku, which is located a couple miles away from the surf spots Kihei and Lahaina. The hostel is clean, has friendly surroundings, and is a great place to meet people. The bungalow provides you with a nice relaxing enjoyable environment with a distinctly mid-jungle atmosphere. You will spend a great deal of the time sharing your experiences at night with others. The hostel offers free internet accessibility, a Jacuzzi and a big kitchen. The Maui Banana bungalow hostel rooms will be shared by two people.
Accommodation in Waikiki Oahu: Waikiki Beach Side Hostel
This hostel is located two minutes away from Waikiki beach, and at walking distance from all the stores and restaurant. The rooms will be shared on a two persons per room basis. Each room has its own kitchen and a bathroom. The hostel offers free internet access, and a shared livingroom area. Staying in Waikiki will give you the best Honolulu has to offer, with a great night life and good sightseeing. It surely is the place to be.
Accommodation Kauai: Rosewood beach houses
In Kauai, two houses await you. Both have a great ocean view, and are near restaurants and stores. Located in Kappa Kauai, the Rosewood beach houses are very clean, and offer great facilities.
Surf Lessons
Whether you are a seasoned surfer looking for local knowledge about Hawaii, or just ready to catch your first wave, Paradise Waves will help you find exactly what you are looking for.
Surf lessons are provided by professional surfers, and a team of lifeguard/CPR trained instructors who are dedicated to provide you with the best surf experiences. Each session includes ocean safety and awareness tips, fundamental instruction and of course: surfing. The lessons last two hours with a “land lesson” of 20 minutes, which includes: proper paddling technique, the turning of the surfboard, maneuvering over waves and, positioning to stand up and ride Hawaiian waves.
Surf lessons in Maui are provided by our close friends from the Maui Waves Riders surf team. They will assist us with the surf lessons and provide you with their Hawaiian surfing knowledge. In Kauai, the surf lesson are provided by Charlie, who will take you on a surf safari to show you Kauai’s best spots.
